About US

ghyIn 1998, the Universidad Americana opened the Business Administration Faculty as a bold experiment. Its mission: offer an English language Business Administration (BAF) degree with the same standards and quality as students could find in quality North American universities. Besides being more affordable than its US counterparts, it would enable its graduates to immediately fit into the cultures and economies of both North America and Latin America.

This experiment has been a huge success. Since it began, hundreds of graduates have moved into positions of leadership both in Nicaragua and abroad. Some have started new businesses that now employ many dozens of Nicaraguans and many have gone on to graduate with Master's degrees in Europe, Latin America, and even Asia.

Welcome to the Universidad Americana (UAM), College of University Studies in English (CUSE)! We hope you find this site helpful!

Universidad Americana’s College of University Studies in English (UAM-CUSE) is again transforming itself into an international center of learning.  The CUSE 21st century curriculum attracts students from at least ten countries. The student body is composed of over 20% from other countries.  At the same time many CUSE students take advantage of exchange programs to study abroad.  To augment this international outlook, CUSE is currently discussing joint programs with several US and Canadian universities.

CUSE graduates are successful in post-graduate universities in the US, Canada, and Europe. In addition, graduates start new businesses, hold positions of trust in Central and North America, and quickly advance in their employment. With our improved programs, we can meet more of your university needs and continue to develop the region.
